Job Summary:
GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Assist in the development, implementation and administration of various corporate financial and general accounting activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Assist in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of corporate accounting systems related to collection and analysis of costs and/or budgets.
2. Prepare or assists in the preparation of general accounting and financial documents for divisions, subsidiaries, or company.
3. Prepare various cost/statistical reports (i.e., fringe benefit cost analysis, administrative overhead expense reports, corporate budgets, etc.) for corporate management as required.
4. Insure compliance with State and local sales and use tax requirements.
5. Prepare monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns and reconciliations.
6. Prepare monthly/quarterly payroll tax returns.
7. Perform and participate in internal, external audits.
8. Insure compliance with Federal, State and local laws including Sarbanes Oxley.
9. Ability to travel (60% first year, 20% after)
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational and experience requirements include: Four years business/accounting degree with advanced degree and/or CPA certified or the equivalent amount of experience in the related field. Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management required. Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, State, and local requirements regarding financial records and benefit compliance.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Requires a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers. Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills are essential. Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
