Knife River has an immediate opening for a Receiving Clerk in Sherwood, OR!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Checks in and receives orders into computer database.
- Maintains and organizes parts inventory and shop supplies.
- Distributes received items to correct personnel and locations.
- Requires occasional operation of forklift to unload shipping trucks (training supplied).
- Works under general supervision to accomplish a variety of tasks.
- Researches discrepancies with packing slips and orders to ensure correct data entry.
- Provides routine administrative support.
- Regular phone interactions, email, and computer applications work.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Assists in creating purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in purchasing or a related area.
- Must have experience in administrative support, data entry, familiarity with office equipment, and strong time management skills.
- Strong experience in both Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers and vendors required.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and grow in responsibilities.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members.
