Plant Maintenance Technician

SEEKING PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
This person will be mechanically maintaining, fabricating and repairing all the components of Ready Mix Facilities including pug mills, pump stations, conveyor systems, rail yards, and plumbing. Identifying and repairing mechanical failures and implementing preventative maintenance applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanically inclined
- Willing to work late evenings and weekends
- Basic Computer Skills
- Valid driver's license required
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
An individual in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples DO NOT include all of the duties which the individual may be expected to perform.
- To keep equipment running and maintained properly to maximize production and quality
- Troubleshoot and complete maintenance & repairs on equipment
- Use cutting torch and perform welding tasks
- Operate lifting devices
- Fabricate parts and equipment
- Report information accurately on time card, shop repair orders, and other reports daily
- Clean work area and execute other duties as assigned

- Ability to accomplish basic welding & cutting torch tasks

- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge and application of safe driving techniques
- Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles

- Listening and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with difficult people
- Ability to work independently
Physical Requirments:
- Extensive walking on uneven surfaces
- Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Climb up and down ladders and silos
- Exposure to dust, fumes, odors
- Hand eye coordination
- Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids
- Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting
- Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting
- Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time
