Project Manager/Estimator

Job Summary:
Knife River is looking for a motivated and experienced Estimator/Project Manager for our Idaho Division.

This position will require you to be able to work both independently and as a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Accurate preparation of project estimates, including preparation and supervision of take offs
Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
Understand construction means and methods
Client development and client relations
Assist with WIP worksheets and processes
Assist with job set up
Solicit and manage subcontract process
Manage and direct overall project performance
Accurately maintain job budgets and schedules
Prepare and manage change orders
Perform other work as assigned

Provide weekly schedule updates
Maintain information processed in Heavy Job

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 5 + years minimum working as an Project Manager and or estimator
Education: Degree in either Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience.
You must have experience with HCSS estimating software, Scheduling software, Quantity takeoffs, Contract Related Items such as Billings, Change Orders, Submittals, etc. as well as Strong Customer Relation skills.
Travel will be required sometimes for long periods of time. Must be willing to work on projects located in Idaho & surrounding states
