Job Summary:
GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for understanding, upholding and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors, 1) Safety First!; 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction. Promote OEG’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Primary duties include: Coordinate, process, and reconcile the weekly union field payroll in accordance with Federal and State regulations and in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP standards. The weekly payroll includes employees working in multiple states, unions, and tax jurisdictions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Process weekly payroll and ensure timely and accurate data is maintained
• Review weekly timecards submitted from other sources to ensure accuracy
• Ensure regular, overtime, and double-time hours and wage calculations are paid in accordance with company policy and/or current labor agreement
• Experience to lend to be a backup for union reporting
• Acts as a liaison with internal and external parties. Ability to research and resolve payroll issues for employees
• Experience processing wage garnishments
• Performs various special projects or other functions as assigned by the Accounting Manager and/or Controller
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures at a level normally acquired through the completion of at least a two-year degree in accounting or business and three years of experience performing payroll duties. Knowledge and experience working with unions and union payrolls. Union reporting experience is desired.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in dealing with internal and external customers. A working knowledge of all federal and state regulations regarding payroll practices and Sarbanes-Oxley standards. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Must maintain highly confidential and sensitive information. Must be willing to pick up and use new technology where beneficial to the Company as directed by Management to assist in key functions. Must be willing to work in a team environment and be collaborative with many other team members. Must be willing to work overtime when needed and, in some cases, on weekends.
