Job Summary:
Summary

Drives haul truck to transport large rocks to and from specified destinations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Drives haul truck down in the Quarry to move large rocks to crusher.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Loads and unloads truck.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver's license required.
Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to maneuver large haul truck through underground tunnel.
Ability to assist Plant Operator when required and do some plant maintenance.
Ability to work long hours, some Saturdays, and work early morning shift.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position may require you to wear a half mask respirator at times and therefore, you will be required to be fit tested. Per OSHA “The Respiratory Protection standard, paragraph 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), states that respirators shall not be worn when facial hair comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function. Facial hair is allowed as long as it does not protrude under the respirator seal, or extend far enough to interfere with the device's valve function. Short mustaches, sideburns, and small goatees that are neatly trimmed so that no hair compromises the seal of the respirator usually do not present a hazard and, therefore, do not violate paragraph 1910.134(g)(1)(i)

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is

Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and extreme heat.
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Typical hours during Production Season are Sunday-Thursday 5pm-5am. Typical hours during Maintenance Season are Monday-Thursday 5pm-3am.
