Job Summary:

Operates straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials and palletized material to and from dump trucks and or flatbed type trailers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
?Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
?Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material or pallet forks into a pallet
?Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket or pallet forks when filled, drives vehicle to safely load a truck or trailer
?Be able to drive a forklift and payloader and load material onto customers equipment.
?Obey all safety rules and work in a safe manner
?Responsible to maintain a neat and accurate inventory
?Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
?Learn the various products by styles, colors and sizes to be able to load the correct product for our customers
?Work directly with customers to load material into their vehicles
?Accurately loads and handles rebar for customers
?Assists with plant maintenance
?Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
?Driver’s License preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities
?Ability to operate front end loader, and use basic hand tools.

?Use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
?The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
?The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
?Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
?Climb ladder to access operator’s cab.

This position may require you to wear a half mask respirator at times and therefore, you will be required to be fit tested. Per OSHA “The Respiratory Protection standard, paragraph 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), states that respirators shall not be worn when facial hair comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function. Facial hair is allowed as long as it does not protrude under the respirator seal, or extend far enough to interfere with the device's valve function. Short mustaches, sideburns, and small goatees that are neatly trimmed so that no hair compromises the seal of the respirator usually do not present a hazard and, therefore, do not violate paragraph 1910.134(g)(1)(i).

?Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
?The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
?The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.

Typical hours during Production Season are M-F 6am-6pm with a half hour lunch. Saturdays are as needed. Typical hours during Maintenance Season are M-F 7am-3pm with a half hour lunch. Saturdays are rare.
