Job Summary:
Business Development Manager works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. Responsible for marketing, community relations and outreach, commercial solar sales and overseeing residential sales.

1. Development and implementation of strategic marketing and public relations plans for the solar division. Coordinate, design and implement all marketing and sales materials and media outreach with MDU marketing department.
2. Functions consist of coordinating public relations, marketing and public outreach with media, local chambers of commerce, “green” associations and other community organizations.
3. Prospect and develop commercial and industrial development, design, and sales.
4. Manage customer expectations by developing proposals for development of solar PV projects.
5. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are being meet.
6. Provide recommendations and actions based on strategic objectives, forecast or performance metrics.
7. Enhance and manage data protocols required for data analysis and reporting to Division Manager for strategic and tactical decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must possess a working knowledge of renewable energy, energy efficiency in sales and marketing
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent sales / customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently and timely.
• Superior written and oral business communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of utility requirements for interconnection of solar PV systems.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and DMV check

• Must possess a working knowledge with Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel and Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Must be dependable and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Excellent personable skills to build and nurture relationships.
• Computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to understand high level-strategies, translate them into systems and process requirements, and ensure execution and business impact.
• Analytical and demonstrated ability to extract key business insights through data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrated experience in project management
• Ability to travel 20% of the time.
• Sales experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
• Work safely at all times and takes action in preventing any and all unsafe acts, situations and behaviors
