Job Summary:
Summary
Operates crushers that size materials, such as rock, for further processing via conveyors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or
One to three months related experience and/or training, or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver's license required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Move levers to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, or storage bins.
Starts crusher, and prods, breaks, or discards lumps to prevent plugging.
Adjusts equipment such as screens, conveyors, and fans, to control or vary size or grade of product, or to maintain uniform flow of material.
Cleans and lubricates equipment.
Keeps records of materials processed.
Other Skills and Abilities
Need general knowledge of moving equipment; mechanically inclined.
Must have experience operating a skid loader, forklift.
Must not be afraid of heights; ability to climb a lot of stairs several times/day.
Must be able to work long hours and possibly Saturdays.

Employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee is occasionally required to sit.
Employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position may require you to wear a half mask respirator at times and therefore, you will be required to be fit tested. Per OSHA “The Respiratory Protection standard, paragraph 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), states that respirators shall not be worn when facial hair comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function. Facial hair is allowed as long as it does not protrude under the respirator seal, or extend far enough to interfere with the device's valve function. Short mustaches, sideburns, and small goatees that are neatly trimmed so that no hair compromises the seal of the respirator usually do not present a hazard and, therefore, do not violate paragraph 1910.134(g)(1)(i)

Employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Typical Work Schedule in Production Season is M-F 4:30am-5pm, Sat 4:30am-3pm. Typical Work Schedule during Maintenance Season is M-F 7am-3pm, no weekends. However, snow removal could change schedule.
