Job Summary:
GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Promote On Electric Group’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

On specific projects bid by Estimator, the following are their responsibilities:
• Quantity takeoff
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
• Review current material pricing levels
• Review and estimate addenda as required
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
• Review bid/construction schedule
• Initial review of contract if included in bid documents
• Draft and submit proposal documents
• Follow post bid closeout procedures
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Healthcare and Industrial experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires the knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program. Two year technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience. Five years’ experience as electrical estimator preferable.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Electrical construction experience or construction management degree
• Estimator/Project supervisor
Drug screen and background check required.
