Job Summary:
Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Promote OEG’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). The project engineer intern’s primary function is to support each project with design tracking and coordination of all aspects of construction. They may work in any one of the following disciplines: BIM/CAD, Pre-Construction, Operations or Project Management.

OEG will effectively match the student’s career interests and goals with the internship opportunity. The internship program will include up to the following:

Pre-Construction & Design

• Tool & Equipment Tracking
• Process Improvement Initiatives

• Internal Controls

• Intro to SharePoint
• SharePoint for Job Sites

Project Management
• Contract Review
• Projected Costs
• Change Orders
• Job Cost Productivity Tracking
• Material Management
• Billing, Scheduling & Documentation

Field Management
• Company Goals & the Foreman’s Role
• Equipment Requests & Maintenance
• Communications
• Production & Planning
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at the time of application and have a strong interest in electrical construction. General knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Access a plus. Requires a positive attitude and the ability to orally communicate with internal and external customers. Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills. As a key member of our team, this position will help meet challenges posed by a dynamic work environment where priorities change frequently and on short notice. The ability to adapt, make decisions, and contribute where and when needed is essential.
