Job Summary:
Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Provide overall administrative and technical management on construction projects from pre-construction planning & budgeting through final acceptance by client.

1. Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.
2. Set-up budget for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.
3. Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
4. Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
5. Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
6. Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required). Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
7. Responsible for productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
8. This position is required to drive.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational and experience requirements include: Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of eight years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety required. Must have safe driving record and a valid driver’s license according to legal requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential. Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
