AGGREGATE DISPATCHER

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Receive phone orders for Aggregate and Asphalt Deliveries
• Monitor and coordinate jobsite delivery and truck activity through computer terminal
• Become familiar with our products and services.
• Become familiar with the abilities of a solo, super solo, transfer and truck & trailer.
• Provide excellent customer service and build close customer relationships.
• Provide customers with solutions to urgent problems.
• Develop a good working relationship with fellow team members, driver teams, customers and KRC contracting group.
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous truck driving and/or dispatching experience and knowledge of the Portland/Metro area is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and previous construction experience is helpful.
• Ability to operate and learn new computer programs.
• Ability to effectively manage time and multi task.
• Ability to manage stressful situations.
• Ability to work safely in a busy construction environment.
• Willingness to work odd hours and Saturday’s if necessary.
• Must work as a member of a location team.
• Ability to accurately log important information on a daily basis.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before contractors or employees of organization.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
