Job Summary:
Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Promote On Electric Group’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Responsible for the supervision and administration of project safety initiatives, compliance, and training programs designed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Develops and implements training programs for employee safety procedures to promote accident protection and prevention. Responsibilities also include developing and distributing educational materials, inspecting company work sites and facilities, and recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance with established regulations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assume professional safety role and promote safe operations.
• Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management/supervisory personnel.
• Assist in building of Job Hazard Analysis and Site Specific Safety Plans.
• Collaborate with field leadership to plan and execute electrical construction control measures to include energized electrical controls IAW with NFPA 70E, LO/TO, confined space, excavation, fall protection, hazardous material exposure, as well as non-electrical hazardous energy such as mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
• Assist in supervision and administration of safety, compliance and training activities.
• Participate in developing and conducting staff and craft safety training programs.
• Conduct work area inspections, safety audits, observations and document activities.
• Document near misses, accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities with company tools and platforms.
• Assist in management of driver training, DOT compliance and records maintenance.
• Support Safety Committee meetings and incident reviews as required.
• Accompany safety, health and insurance inspectors on walk through tours as required.
• Review safety related journals, catalogs, etc. to keep abreast of changes/improvements in techniques, protective safety equipment, and material.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational and experience requirements include: Two years construction/safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience. Knowledge and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations and consensus standards, specially NFPA 70E. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essential. OHSA 30 Construction Certification. Valid driver’s license required.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
• Knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is crucial.
• Good communication, organizational and teamwork skills are essential.
• Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
