Job Summary:
Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Provide overall administrative and technical management on construction project site from bid preparation through final acceptance by client.

1. Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project. Attend pre bid conferences and job walks.
2. Prepare complete estimate for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting. Submit plans to bid team. Develop and send out proposals to customers.
3. Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
4. Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
5. Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
6. Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required). Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
7. Responsible for productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
8. Maintain onsite files containing recent estimates given to clients, active projects, along with any associated contracts, correspondence, invoices, and other pertinent project information.
9. Maintain and distribute the project bid schedule, including all active projects within the project management software.
10. Take and maintain state examinations required to maintain the contractor’s license for LCP.
11. Maintain updated vendor prequalification forms for selected state/federal agencies, utility companies and miscellaneous clients.
12. Gather updated labor rates from the unions and put into estimate sheets. Distribute current list of union members employed with LCP to clients as requested.
13. Compile the job site inspection reports into a monthly report. Gather and distribute the Directors Report information for LCP.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational and experience requirements include: Four-year engineering degree, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of four years’ construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety required. Valid professional driver’s license and good driving record required.
Key Skills & Competencies
Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential. Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
As detailed above. Applicants with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or
Engineering from an accredited institution along with a verifiable completed degree are required along with the above noted experience.
