Asphalt Plant Foreman

Job Summary:
Responsible to safely supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in asphalt production.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in asphalt plant operation and maintenance.
2. 1-2 years management experience of direct reports.
3. Ability to maintain a valid Driver's License.
4. Effective communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Working knowledge of MS Word, and Excel.
2. Working knowledge of JWS, or other “point of sale” application.
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
1. Monitor material quality. Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust as required to meet product requirements.
2. Coach and monitor team members.
3. Maintain sites to comply with OSHA, and/or KRC safety regulations.
4. Monitor plant, and perform preventive maintenance, as required, to avoid unplanned repairs.
5. Perform scheduled maintenance & repairs on equipment as required to meet production demand.
6. Calibrate plant.
7. Training new employees.
8. Maintain proper records; submit paperwork, as required, in a timely manner.
9. Perform daily equipment, walk around, and site inspections. Identify, and correct, unsafe conditions, and keep equipment properly maintained.
10. Perform a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) as required.
11. Supervise direct reports to insure safe work practices are followed, in accordance with KRC Safety Handbook.
12. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations, and act courteous/respectful of others.
13. Monitor supervised sites for environmental regulation compliance.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
