Job Summary:
Responsible to safely collect samples of crushed stone, aggregate, sand or gravel and test concrete for conformance to specifications. Assist with adjustments to mix designs at job sites. Represents KRC Quality specifications to our customers. Conduct all DOT testing and perform quality assurance testing with our customers. Work in the Fargo ND and Western/Central MN markets.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent
2. Ability to provide and maintain proper certifications, licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
3. 2 plus years concrete experience preferred
4. Concrete field and plant certifications preferred

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain customer relations
2. Meet with customers to investigate quality material issues and resolution
3. Visit job sites to maintain customer relations and project quality and troubleshoot quality concerns
4. Collect material samples, identify material, and compile statistical data on test results.
5. Examine and evaluate data – determine material quality in relation to specifications
6. Maintain all required MNDOT and ACI certifications and maintain close relationships with MNDOT personnel and outside testing agencies
7. Conduct finished and in-process inspections
8. Perform concrete trial batches
9. Remain current in knowledge of concrete quality specifications
10. Call on customer warranty issues
11. Safely and properly perform laboratory tests on variety of materials (Aggregate and/or Concrete).
12. Perform arithmetic operations and record findings and needed actions.
13. Maintain lab, equipment and vehicle
14. Perform daily housekeeping
15. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. Communicate test results to appropriate stakeholders.
16. Ensure work activities comply with OSHA, EPA, safety and environmental regulations. Good housekeeping skills.
17. Travel is required.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
