Job Summary:
Operate computer aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment to develop drawings. Draw/coordinate on a large variety of new and existing construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings. Typically drawing/coordination works includes 3D modeling of all electrical systems and develop design drawings.

1.Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
2.Understanding of electrical systems
3.Utilize BIM to increase the team’s understanding of problems and solutions, and assist the construction and field team in solving issues throughout the project.
4.BIM coordination and preparation of filed drawings and reports.
5.Create quick actions utilizing the command language of the system to assist in drawing creation.
6.Perform routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
7.Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, and learns how to use all software options.
8.Maintain project files
9.Assist management with additional assignments as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational and experience requirements include: High school diploma/GED; one or more years of electrical design experience; job site/field experience preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
Proficient in the following design software: AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks. Computer skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail and the ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Successful time management skills to work on several projects concurrently. Share valuable information with team members to increase department expertise. Require a positive attitude and good communication skills with internal and external customers.
