Job Summary:
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Responsible for the administration of pre-negotiated or negotiations of contracts in support of the Corporate, Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Engineering and other administrative areas for the acquisition of routine and non-routine services or materials, including the administration of the contract bidding process through final contract completion and document closeout. Maintains complete and accurate records for all contracts including executed contracts, modifications/change orders, insurance, correspondence to and from, and entries into current business system(s).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a working knowledge of contract maintenance normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business, accounting, engineering or finance
Four years’ experience in contract administration in the utility or construction industry
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiar with gas/electric operations and components normally used in non-utility, utility and mid-stream operations
• Paralegal Certification
• Any Procurement and Supply Chain Certifications
• Experience in an Inventory, Procurement and/or Supply Chain related function.
• Experience in Operational Procurement with understanding of P2P and overall Procurement Process
Key Skills & Competencies
• Demonstrated analytical, project management, and negotiation skills to organize multiple and complex projects
• Working knowledge of contract law and contract administration
• Extensive knowledge of contracting techniques and methods
• Ability to work with detail and with high degree of accuracy
• General knowledge of government regulations affecting natural gas transmission, and electric and gas utilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships, both internal and external; cross train with other departmental personnel
• Working knowledge of procurement and corporate software, ERP Systems, & Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Must maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to travel, as required
